The Jobboard performance indicators shown allow a quick overview of the two important performance indicators, the number of jobadverts published and the Alexa-Rank .
Job adverts (Stellenanzeigen)
The number of job adverts published are researched based on the figures made available on the job board’s website or other sources. The publishing period is usually on month or four weeks.
Reach / Visitors frequency (Reichweite / Besucherefrequentierung)
The visitors reach is based on the international Alexa traffic rank, which is calculated automatically for all Top-Level-Domain websites. The Alexa Traffic Rank represents a 3-month moving average. A traffic rank of 1 is best and indicates the single most frequently visited web portal. Currently, this is the search engine Google.com. A traffic rank of 28 millions indicates a job board with poor or low number of visits.
The Alexa traffic ranking figure is subject to a relevance check to provide a fair comparison among job boards. Some job boards operate under a single top level domain, others are part of a larger media portal, such as newspapers, magazines or other. As the visitor frequency is not available for sub-domains, those jobboards are excluded from the calculation. The term „Alexa Relevance = Yes“ indicates that the jobboard is operating under a single top level domain, the term „Alexa Relevance = No“ indicates that the jobboard is operated technically as a sub-domain and hence these traffic figures are not available.
Due to the differences in countries, recruiting target groups or business modells (ei.e. job aggregators or job search engines) it makes sense to compare only equal with equal.
The list of jobboards can be selected based on criteria such as
- recruiting target groups
- Operating model (such as job aggregators)
