Indeed is Leading Source of External Hires for Fifth Consecutive Year
Research from SilkRoad Says Indeed is ‘Most Productive External Source of Interviews and Hires’
AUSTIN, Texas (April 27, 2016) — Indeed has retained its position as the number one source of external hires for the fifth year in a row, according to research released by SilkRoad. SilkRoad uses an entire year of automated source tracking data from over 1,200 employers of all sizes to show which recruitment sources are the most effective. SilkRoad found that Indeed accounted for the majority of external online recruitment activity, delivering 58% of hires and interviews, up from 54% in 2015.

The SilkRoad research shows that Indeed is once again the dominant source of hires, delivering 43% of external hires, two and a half times as many as all other top branded career sites combined. Indeed is also the number one source of interviews, delivering 52%, more than six times as many interviews as CareerBuilder, the next largest source, and ten times as many as LinkedIn and Craigslist.

SilkRoad uses quantitative methods to analyze source data within its applicant tracking system to rank leading sources each year. The research is based on SilkRoad’s nearly 14 million applications, over 600,000 interviews and over 300,000 hires.
