Indeed 2014 Revenue: $434 Million, 71% Year-over-Year Increase
Commitment to Job Seeker Continues to Fuel Company Growth
AUSTIN, Texas – May 19, 2015 – Indeed, the leading worldwide job search engine, generated $434 million of revenue in 2014, 71% higher than the previous year. Over its ten-year history, Indeed’s intense focus on serving job seeker needs has resulted in its becoming the most visited job site in more than 10 countries, including the US, with over 180 million unique visitors per month.*
“Our mission is to help people get jobs,” said Indeed CEO Hisayuki Idekoba. “The last 10 years have reinforced the benefits of this strategy as we’ve focused on getting as many of the world’s jobs as possible on the site. As we’ve become the number one global destination for job seekers, employers have had access to a growing pool of qualified candidates.”
Indeed gives candidates free access to millions of jobs from thousands of company websites and job boards in over 50 countries. The majority of Indeed’s traffic now comes via mobile devices, as Indeed is the number one mobile job app for iOS & Android in the US and 20 countries. Indeed provides a wide-range of employers, including two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies, with the most cost-effective source of qualified candidates across all industries, functions and job levels.
Indeed’s global reach has expanded with its growth, and since launching its first site outside the US in 2009, Indeed has become the number one job seeker destination in the United Kingdom, Canada, France, the Netherlands, and several other countries. To support that growth, Indeed established a European presence in Ireland in 2012, and has also opened offices in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, and the UK. Indeed’s headcount grew by nearly 50% in 2014, and the company expects to continue to expand its workforce in 2015.
Employers have directly posted over 12 million jobs to Indeed over the last two years, and Indeed recently announced that employers will be able to list the majority of their jobs on Indeed for free. The move bucks the recent trend by many hiring sources, as such CraigsList and LinkedIn, of increasing the cost of job listings.
