Monster Worldwide Signs Largest International Transaction in the Company’s History Working with the UK’s Department for Work and Pensions
Monster aggressively expands successful government business to help address employment opportunities across the UK
NEW YORK–Monster® (NYSE: MWW), the worldwide leader in connecting people to job opportunities and the flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. , this week announced a four-year agreement with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in the UK. This is largest single contract in Monster’s history and marks the start of the global expansion strategy of Monster’s already successful government solutions business in the U.S.
The new system, due to launch in the fall, will benefit UK employers by giving them access to an easily searchable job seeker database powered by Monster’s 6Sense(TM) semantic search, greatly expanding the pool of potential talent and reducing the length of time it takes to find suitable candidates. Jobseekers will also have online access to appropriate UK Government Services to find more suitable jobs quickly.
Monster continues to successfully expand its business to help government agencies with its hiring and talent management needs. In 2011, Monster’s government business generated more than $80 million in bookings, providing customized solutions based on innovative technologies.
„Across the world in this challenging job environment, government agencies are seeking to help their citizens find jobs,“ said Steve Cooker, executive vice president of global government solutions for Monster Worldwide. „Building on the success of our U.S. government business, we believe we can provide a tremendous service across the globe and we look forward to expanding our role in helping government agencies worldwide match the right job seekers with the right opportunities.“
