Gallionsfigur Tony Lee verlässt Adicio
Tony Lee, the long-time “face” of both Adicio and CareerCast, is leaving the company and joining SHRM, the Society of Human Resource Management, as VP-editorial.
SHRM describes Lee as “a recognized authority on recruitment trends” and said he’ll be responsible for SHRM’s global content and editorial functions. The Washington, D.C.-area-based organization publishes HR Magazine, HR News online, electronic newsletters and books.
Lee started with Adicio as a client, publishing job listings from The Wall Street Journal with the back-end engine from what was then known as CareerCast. (The company changed its name to Adicio after it moved into other classified verticals.) Dow Jones & Co., parent of the Journal, invested in CareerCast and Lee joined the company’s board. He was the Dow Jones representative on the CareerCast / Adicio board until March 2006, when he joined the company full-time. His most recent title was chief alliance officer for Adicio, and also editor and publisher of CareerCast.com.
He’s been the primary spokesman for Adicio, and has been quoted often when CareerCast released its annual “best jobs” and “worst jobs” lists. He said he plans to stay involved with Adicio and, as a client at SHRM (which uses Adicio to run its job board), to revive its client user group.
“Tony’s contributions to Adicio and CareerCast.com have helped us evolve and broaden our business base, and also move into content plays like our phenomenally popular Jobs Rated Reports,” said Adicio CEO Rick Miller. “SHRM is getting a real veteran who has helped to shape our industry in many ways, not only editorial and content but in the online recruitment space.”
